Biography

Kabwe Chongo Kamina earned her bachelor’s degree from Northrise University where she was deeply involved in the school community and the Law Student’s Association. She has been with Chapter One Foundation since November 2021 and since then, has served as a project lead and worked tirelessly with the Programmes Team as a Programmes Officer.

Ms. Kamina is deeply passionate about women’s rights and recognizes the systemic challenges and discrimination faced by women across the globe. Her work encompasses the legal representation of survivors of victims of gender-based violence, lobbying for legislative reforms to protect women’s rights and raising awareness about key women’s issues. She approaches her activism with empathy, an understanding of intersectionality and a commitment to amplifying the voices of marginalized people.
