He has accumulated valuable experience working in the Health industry and Non-profit Sector, where he has honed his skills in Non-profit Organizations, Budgeting, Business Planning, Internal Audit, and Analytical Skills. Isaac is a dependable, reliable, and valuable team member, and has consistently demonstrated his passion for work.</p> <p class="textalign">Isaac is the Board Chairperson for the Centre for Trade Policy and Development, a non-profit organization that aims to promote trade justice, social justice, and human rights in Zambia. As the chairperson, Isaac provides strategic leadership to the board and ensures that the organization's policies and programs align with its mission and vision. Isaac also serves as the treasurer for SafAIDS Zambia, another non-profit organization that focuses on HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care, and support in Zambia. As the treasurer, Isaac oversees the organization's financial management and ensures that the financial resources are used efficiently and effectively to achieve the organization's objectives. He also ensures that the organization complies with the financial regulations and standards set by the government and other relevant authorities.</p>

<p class="textalign">Mwamba Yurita Ngoma-Milambo holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) which she obtained from the University of Zambia and was further admitted to the Zambian bar in 2018. Mwamba Y Ngoma- Milambo has been practicing law for over 5 years with experience in Private practice and Public Interest litigation. She specializes in Litigation, and analysing of the legal framework to ensure human rights are upheld, the state is held accountable and that marginalized groups are protected. She further collaborates with different organizations and Human Rights Defenders on various issues affecting the public. </p> <p class="textalign">Prior to joining Chapter One Foundation she was in the employ of Mwenye & Mwitwa Advocates. She also worked as a Research Advocate at Circuit Zambia where she was part of the team that developed Apptorney an application for lawyers. Mwamba also worked in the employ of KMG Chisanga were she acquired conveyancing experience. While at Chapter One Foundation Mwamba has done consultancy’s and trained Human Right Defenders on various topics such as how to fight against the shirking civic space, the importance of good governance and accountable and the importance of asset declaration and lifestyle audits to mention a few. </p> <p class="textalign">Mwamba is also a Thespian though not actively perusing this passion, she desires to see a world were Art, and Drama are used as Advocacy to positively change the world. </p>

<p class="textalign">Beene possesses an Accounts Technician Certificate and a Diploma in Accountancy from the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountancy (ZiCA). Over the years, she has pursued additional certifications in Monitoring and Evaluation, Microsoft Software, Movable Asset-Based Lending, and Project Management. Currently, she is pursuing her Chartered Accountancy paper from ZiCA.</p> <p class="textalign">Beene has extensive experience which includes an accountancy internship in 2017 at Direct Finance Services, where her responsibilities included journal entries, cash book preparation, payroll management, and monthly statutory returns. Beene has held roles such as an Accounts Assistant, where she adeptly managed accounts in the SAP accounting package, prepared cash reports, conducted bank reconciliations, and handled monthly statutory returns, among other duties. In 2020, Beene transitioned into the NGO sector as a Project Assistant Accountant. In this role, she has honed her skills in budget tracking, report preparation, audit reviews, and maintained accounts using the PASTEL accounting package, alongside managing staff retirement checks, cheque preparation, and petty cash reconciliations.</p> <p class="textalign">In her current role at Chapter One Foundation, Beene excels in various financial and administrative tasks including budgeting, meticulous filing, efficient management of petty cash, prompt banking of retired balances, maintenance of fixed asset registers, handling monthly statutory returns, and accounts reconciliation, among other responsibilities.</p> <p class="textalign">Beyond her extensive accountancy experience, Beene is recognized for her hardworking demeanour, discipline, and reliability. Her accomplishments include proficient bookkeeping skills, adaptability to changing work demands, and a notable contribution to successful compliance audits.</p>

Her expertise ensures that projects remain on track and deliver impactful results aligned with organizational objectives.</p> <p class="textalign">Hlezipi has actively contributed to capacity-building initiatives by providing trainings to human rights defenders. Through her guidance, these individuals have been equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to advocate effectively for human rights causes, thereby amplifying the impact of the organization's mission.</p> <p class="textalign">In addition to her project management and capacity-building skills, Hlezipi’s attention to detail and strategic approach have been instrumental in the successful execution of national-level events, further enhancing the visibility and reach of the organization.</p>

<p class="textalign">Kabwe Chongo Kamina earned her bachelor’s degree from Northrise University where she was deeply involved in the school community and the Law Student’s Association. She has been with Chapter One Foundation since November 2021 and since then, has served as a project lead and worked tirelessly with the Programmes Team as a Programmes Officer.</p> <p class="textalign">Ms. Kamina is deeply passionate about women’s rights and recognizes the systemic challenges and discrimination faced by women across the globe. Her work encompasses the legal representation of survivors of victims of gender-based violence, lobbying for legislative reforms to protect women’s rights and raising awareness about key women’s issues. <p class="textalign">In her work, Mulenga leverages the law as a catalyst for positive change. She is passionate about utilising her legal skills to advocate for legal reform and good governance. As a result, she is an advocate for human rights, women's rights, transparency, and accountability, with a strong commitment to civic education and advocacy. Mulenga is dedicated to ensuring that the law can adequately reflect and meet the needs of the society it serves.</p> <p class="textalign">Mulenga has successfully presented oral and written submissions before the National Assembly of Zambia. She was the project lead on the ‘Promoting Post Election Legislative Reform and Civic Education in Zambia’ project that was implemented by Chapter One Foundation from November 2022 to March 2023.</p> <p class="textalign">She enjoys orchestrating trainings, workshops, and engagement meetings, viewing them as a powerful avenue for advocacy in harmony with her strengths and interests. She approaches these opportunities with enthusiasm, utilising her adept communication skills and passion for knowledge dissemination to create impactful and engaging experiences.</p>

<p class="textalign">With over 5 years of legal experience, Namutami has honed her skills and expertise through diverse roles in organizations championing children's rights, women's rights, and broader human rights causes. Her journey in the legal field has seen her advocate for some of the most vulnerable members of society, including children in conflict with the law and women in need of legal assistance. Her role at Chapter One Foundation has seen her conduct legal workshops for human rights defenders across Zambia, facilitate a legal clinic in a high-density area, plan and coordinate side events during the Summit of Democracy in 2023 held in Lusaka, make submissions to Parliament on behalf of the organisation to bring about legal reforms, and many other tasks that have advanced the work of the organisation.</p> <p class="textalign">Namutami's multifaceted background, coupled with her passion for justice and equality, makes her an indispensable asset to our team. Her dedication to upholding the principles of fairness and accountability resonates throughout her work, embodying the ethos of Chapter One Foundation as we strive to create positive change and advance human rights in Zambia and beyond.</p>
